The latest news and updates from The Wedding Report
State of the Industry:
We have compiled the numbers and trends from the State of the Industry vendor survey and they are now available on the site. The bottom line, while the economy is sluggish in many areas the wedding industry is not suffering an extensive slowdown. Couples are spending less, sticking closer to their budget, and scaling back where it makes sense; however, most vendors are reporting normal to good business sales. This report is available to paid subscribers. Follow the link below for more details.

Wedding Numbers Update:
We have updated all wedding numbers to reflect the latest marriage totals. This includes the increase or decline for each market.
We also addressed an issue where some small high travel in to cities and zip codes where being under reported.
We previously estimated that the number of weddings would grow by 3% over 5 years, based on the latest numbers and the state of the economy we now estimate that the number of weddings will grow at 1.4% over the next 5 years. This is US overall, each market is different.
